City's 11-match winning run was halted by Chelsea with a 1-1 draw in the last game. They will be extremely confident of adding another win to the bag to catch up to Liverpool. Brentford, on the other hand, have lost three out of their last four games and will be worried about how to tackle the in-form Cityzens.

The Man City vs Brentford live stream features two sides who suffered setbacks at the weekend. The result will have huge implications at both ends of the table.
Man City seemed unstoppable… until a determined Chelsea managed to stop them. Another brilliant Rodri strike helped them salvage a point, but the 1-1 draw was undoubtedly a setback in the Citizens’ title charge. Pep Guardiola’s side will be looking to bounce straight back.
The Bees suffered another poor result at the weekend, losing 1-4 to Liverpool. They seem to have lost some of the spark that helped them establish themselves in the EPL. Even Ivan Toney’s return hasn’t helped arrest their decline, leaving Thomas Frank’s men hovering dangerously close to the dropzone.
One thing we know about Brentford is they keep trying to play with a certain style, and this could play into City’s hands. However, they also showed in their recent visit to Tottenham that they can frustrate teams, at least for a time.
Pep Guardiola's side have been playing catch up in recent weeks with this clash scheduled as their game in hand over rivals Liverpool and Arsenal. Victory for Guardiola would lift them above leaders Liverpool for at least 24 hours with Jurgen Klopp's pace setters in action against Luton Town on the following day.
It is also the second time City have faced Brentford this month, due to a fixture rescheduling after their success in the FIFA Club World Cup in December, with Phil Foden's hat-trick securing a 3-1 win at the start of February.
Guardiola has confirmed Josko Gvardiol and Jack Grealish remain sidelined for this game with Bernardo Silva set to start after coming off the bench in their 1-1 weekend draw with Chelsea. A tie with Mauricio Pochettino's visitors ended City's 11-game winning streak across all competitions but they remain unbeaten since the start of 2024.
Thomas Frank's injury picture remains unchanged from their 4-1 Premier League loss at home to Liverpool last weekend and he could stick with an unchanged team. Guardiola will be frustrated over dropping points at home to Chelsea and his side need a reaction to maintain momentum in the Premier League title race. Brentford have picked up two wins in their last five league outings but they have not won away from home in all competitions since October.
This fixture was previously scheduled for before the festive period, however was postponed due to the Blues' commitments in the FIFA Club World Cup. City will be hoping to bounce back in midweek after dropping points in the Premier League for the first time since their draw to Crystal Palace, against Chelsea on Saturday night.
Pep Guardiola's men hold fond memories from their last outing against the Bees which came just two weeks ago. A Phil Foden hat-trick secured a comfortable comeback victory after Neal Maupay had given the hosts the advantage.
Pep Guardiola has confirmed that Jack Grealish and Josko Gvardiol remain unavailable for Tuesday's Premier League encounter at home against Brentford, but all other members of the City squad are fit and ready for selection.
Grealish sustained a muscular injury during last Tuesday's Champions League last 16 3-1 victory over FC Copenhagen.
Meanwhile, Gvardiol hasn't played since featuring in the 3-1 triumph at Brentford two weeks ago. He was absent from the matchday squad for both the Copenhagen trip and last Saturday's 1-1 draw against Chelsea due to an ankle problem.
Brentford encountered no new injury setbacks during the game against Liverpool, a fixture in which they welcomed Frank Onyeka and Yoane Wissa back from Africa Cup of Nations duties.
However, defensive mainstay Ethan Pinnock was sidelined before kickoff due to an ankle issue. He will remain unavailable until after the March international break.
In addition to Pinnock, Rico Henry (knee), Josh Dasilva (knee), Kevin Schade (groin), Aaron Hickey (thigh), and Bryan Mbeumo (ankle) are also on the sidelines. Nonetheless, there's hope that Hickey and Schade could return before the end of the month.
Pep Guardiola’s side had their momentum halted somewhat by a frustrating draw with Chelsea on Saturday, with the champions needing a late Rodri strike just to earn a point.
They now turn their focus to a second match against Brentford in the space of a fortnight, with this fixture rescheduled from December as a result of City’s involvement in the Club World Cup.
A win would take City above Arsenal and into second in the table, just a point behind leaders Liverpool.
The Bees were well-beaten by Liverpool last time out, but will take confidence from their performance against City earlier this month, when they took the lead, as well as the fact they won both matches between the sides last season.
Josko Gvardiol remains unavailable for Man City, due to an ankle injury, and Jack Grealish has also been ruled out with the muscle injury he picked up early in the win over Copenhagen.
Bernardo Silva could return to the starting lineup, after coming off the bench against Chelsea, while John Stones is an option to replace Manuel Akanji at centre-back should Guardiola make changes.
Brentford continue to contend with a number of injury issues. Ethan Pinnock is not expected back until after the international break next month, as he faces a lengthy spell out with an ankle issue.
Bryan Mbeumo and Kevin Schade are among those also still on the sidelines, but Yoane Wissa is back in contention and is pushing Neal Maupay for a starting spot.
City have rarely found it easy against Brentford, losing home and away last season, and so there will be no complacency at the Etihad. But the draw with Chelsea will surely have sharpened their focus and, while they look far from convincing at the back, it would be a real surprise if they Guardiola’s side were to drop more points.
Manchester City had been rolling over the past couple of weeks, but suffered an unnecessary setback this past weekend, where they drew with struggling Chelsea, at home. It snapped a 12-match win streak of City, who had won every contest across all competitions since Dec. 16. Maybe there is some fatigue setting in for the reigning treble winners, as they are busy defending their EPL, UEFA Champions League and FA Cup titles. Yet, they are still favorites to win all three once again.
They come into Tuesday third in the Premier League, four points back of league-leading Liverpool.
Brentford would not mind causing a stir against ManCity, because it would give them a better chance of staying in the top division. The Bees had their lunch handed to them at home against Liverpool on Saturday, falling 4-1 to the Reds. This has been a tough stretch for Brentford, as they have also lost to Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur over the past month.
The Bees come into Monday 14th in the table, but are just five points out of the bottom three. Following the win two weeks ago, City is 10-1-7 against Brentford, though the Bees won both EPL meetings last season.
The two sides only faced off two weeks ago with Brentford once again giving the Cityzens a scare. However, after falling a goal behind, Phil Foden scored three times to inspire Pep Guardiola's men to a hard-fought 3-1 away win.
The Bees completed the double over the treble-winners last season and were the only team to win at the Etihad. However, Thomas Frank's side head into Tuesday's bout having lost three of their previous five. They were thumped 4-1 at home by Liverpool on Saturday. City, meanwhile, saw their imperious groove thwarted by Chelsea on Saturday as they could only muster a point against the Blues.
Bryan Mbeumo's continued absence means Ivan Toney will once again be partnered by Neal Maupay. The Frenchman scored the opener against City at the start of the month. Aaron Hickey and Kevin Schade are both doubts with respective hamstring and hip injuries while Rico Henry and Josh Dasilva are out for the rest of the season.
Rodri's 83rd-minute strike may have salvaged a draw for the 2022-23 champions against Chelsea on Saturday but that result allowed both the Reds and Arsenal to move ahead in the race at the top.
Pep Guardiola's side can climb into second and pile the pressure back on their rivals by winning their game in hand against Brentford at the Etihad but will be taking nothing for granted as Thomas Frank and co did the double over them last season.
The Bees gave them a scare when they met at the Gtech Community Stadium last month as well, going ahead early through Neal Maupay, but Phil Foden's hat-trick was enough to secure the points for Man City.
Saturday's 4-1 defeat to Liverpool leaves Brentford six points above the relegation zone and while there is no need for concern just yet, things might look a little different in a few weeks with games against West Ham, Arsenal and Chelsea to come.
